Attentats a Dahab/terrorist attack in Dahab

Again, terrorists striked Egypt....today, about an hour or so ago, three bombs blasted in Dahab, 100 km from Sharm El Sheikh....We all have friends living there and really worry for them as the telephon lines are saturated and we can not join them...When will this madness stop.....?

At least some news!

Internet working fine here, but I didn't really find the time to update my website!
Today, day off, so you will get some picts from Sharm El Sheikh, Sinai, Egypt!

Still didn't get my underwater photography equipment, so you will have to wait to see the amazing reefs, wrecks and underwater world of the red sea!

This is our boat captain : Meryl "Abachi" Stubbing!
Here is a picture of the dive center "African Divers"
And finally a picture of Anatole and Aya, german and japanese dive instructors I stayed with when I arrived!
I should get internet at home within 2-3 weeks (Inch'Allah!) with an ADSL connection so I will be more often on the web and in front of my webcam!

Come and visit me when you want, I now got spare beds in my appartment!

Cheers.

step 4 : si kg supplementaires > trop cher alors, retour à step 1, sinon, step 5

As usual, before visiting a new country, shopping for the ad-hoc Lonely Planet guides!

Country guide+local phrasebook (I now own a couple of them : Malay, Hindi+Urdu, Indonesian), and want to stress :"they are really f*****g usefull !" + Diving guide (not really necessary, but I bought it 2 years ago when planning hollidays on the Red Sea!)

Another book to read during the flight (ooops, I have already read it!) : the EXCELLENT "Nitrox & Trimix" by Jacques Vettier, a "must have" for the ones interested in Mix Gases Diving! Or if you want this strange gases we are breathing underwater to be demystified!

So, I soon will start my 10days of Army duty, and next, let's go and blow some bubbles in the red Sea!

Today's potd is quite special, isn't it!
I got this two pictures from a MSN chat with friends of mine this night! And, well, I decided to open a new gallery for webcam shots!

Just send your webcam shots (320*240), portraits, whatever it isto webcam@vautrin.org with ashort title (12 characters max), and I will put it in the ad hoc gallery where you the will be able to comment it! Have fun and enjoy!

Have Fun! (j'vais pas traduire ca quand meme!)

Well, in Indonesia, people don't only ride "bebeck's" there is as wella very large scooter community.

If you get a chance toget there you will probably be amazed by the crazy custom vespa you'll see in the streets!

This three guys were on their way to a scooter meeting in Senggiggi, Lombok NTB, Indonesia, they have been nice enough to stop for a chat with me! (and we had a chat about.....vespa and beer!).

They even gave me a sticker of the Indonesian Vespa club of Lombok, that I will be proud to stick on my own Vespa, if one day I go to a meeting !

There is as well a huge HD community over there, but they are a little bit harder to approach, as they ride BIG HUGE HD, and consider themselves as Hells Angels!
